Hello…here’s what to expect in a counselling session.


Counselling is like having a conversation. We will talk about things that are important to you, and together we will set goals to help you create the changes you need. We will talk about problems you’re having and we’ll find solutions. We will talk about your thoughts, emotions, and your actions. We will work together to help you be the best YOU that you can be.


Activities we will do together.

  • NATURE THERAPY

    Sometimes we can get a little restless sitting indoors, so whenever the weather allows us, heading outside for a walking session works great! We also might find some creative metaphors in nature to help us with the issue you’re facing.

  • CREATIVITY

    When we learn something really important that we want to remember, creating something to take home can help us recall that valuable idea. So, in counselling sessions, we can be creative and paint, draw, colour, bead…

  • PLAY

    There’s no better way to learn and grow than through play. So why not play in counselling sessions?! Feel free to bring your favourite lego set or toy and we can incorporate them into our talks. We sometimes play board games and we always use our imaginations to come up with helpful ways to solve problems.

  • STORIES

    Stories are one of the best ways to make connections between ideas and real life. We not only learn through stories, we remember with good stories too. You might find yourself immersed in a great picture book in one of your sessions, no matter what your age, and you can take the lesson learned from the characters and build it into your life.
